Home to some of the Hutt Valley's best trails. The Wainui trail project has seen an influx of new trails being built raising the parks popularity and rider base over the last few years. And rightly so, the park has a great range of tracks for all ages and abilities. Terrain ranging from beautiful beach forest to clay berms and chutes. It is also home to some of the toughest trails in Wellington. The highly challenging tracks of "Pavlova" and "Morepork" will test even the best of riders. The park can be accessed on both sides of the Wainuiomata hill. The main car park is situated over the hill in Wainuiomata, however the park can also be accessed via the Te Whiti riser track on the Hutt valley side. Following the riser up and taking a right once onto the firebreak at the top. Continue along the firebreak until you reach the trails. The top of the Wainui hill also offers spectacular views across the harbour and Hutt Valley, a great place for any ride break.
