Beautiful on a still summers day, red rocks makes for a great day out. Walk as far as you want but be sure to keep within your limits as every step you take one way will need to be taken back. The 4WD track offers easy terrain for walking although it tends to loosen up under foot the further you go around. Continue on to Sinclair Head, where there is a New Zealand fur seal colony. From May to October the colony is populated by bachelor males. People are recommended to keep their distance. Although much preferred on a Northerly as the cliffs offer protection, a gentle Southerly will keep the sand storms to a minimum. There is also an alternative walk that starts at the first stream as you head around the first bay. Follow the stream up to a series of tracks to add some elevation to your day.
