The Makara wind farm boasts some of Wellingtons most spectacular views, a stunning coastline and farm land scattered with wind turbines, making for some epic photos. The Opau loop trail itself is tough but true. A variety of single track and farm land, its certainly no easy feat. The final climb up the paved 4WD road is an absolute killer. So be sure to preserve a little energy to ensure you can make it back up.
