Starting at the Brooklyn wind turbine, you are greeted with stunning views of Wellington and the surrounding coast. A labyrinth of trails allows for numerous ways to get the top. Take the dirt trail or stick to the tarmac on the way up. The dirt trail runs parallel to the road. Check the winds before going as it can get very windy and cold during a gale Southerly. Ride past the old castle that was a dog staycation center before closing. Make a day of it by adding the red rocks loop track, this is well worth the energy on a good day.
